Why are links to your web site important?
Links to your web site improve the link popularity of your web site. If your web site has good incoming links, the ranking of your web pages will increase on major search engines. Google has an official statement about this topic:

Reciprocal Link Exchange, Links Swap, Link Trade etc.) is the most accessible way to improve your website's link popularity, and by doing so, to achieve better search engine positioning and increase your website's traffic. Building link popularity through link exchange (links swap) means to find partner sites whose webmasters are willing to add a link pointing to your website, in exchange to a link pointing to their website from yours.

Please note: your submitted reciprocal link must comply the following rules:

• Your link directory must be indexed by Google (make sure XML / RSS site map is in place);
• Your site must be relevant to Maria-Art site (please paintings, photos, music and other art-related sites only);
• The link must be not further than in 2 clicks from home page;
• The backlink you provide must be a true link to us ("http://www.maria-art.co.uk") and not like "http://www.yoursite.com/links/goto.php?id=92";
• There should not be more than 100 links on the backlink page.
• If backlink you provided is going to float across your links pages then it will not be found by backlink validator and hence your link will be deleted from Maria-Art directory.
